Es sind junge, nationale und internationale KünstlerInnen mit sehr persönlichen Arbeiten, die ihre Herkunft, ihren Diskurs mit der Gesellschaft, ihre Erfahrungen mit Auslandsstipendien thematisieren.
Unter dem Motto „ART unnecessary HAMBURG“ präsentiert die galerie molitoris junge nationale und internationale Künstler, die sich mit Ihren sehr persönlichen und provokanten Themen auf dem internationalen Kunstmarkt etablieren wollen.
„ART unnecessary HAMBURG“ schafft Raum für sehr individuelle und ungeschminkte Kunstwerke. Eine Herausforderung an die Künstler, ihre Arbeiten nicht nur zu präsentieren, sondern vielmehr im Kontext der gesellschaftlichen Anforderungen und im Fokus des 21. Jahrhunderts mehr Einfluss und somit mehr Reflexion zu erreichen.
So entstehen überraschende und spannende Ausstellungsformen, ob Fotografie, Malerei, Skulpturen oder Installationen, die Künstler und Besucher gleichermaßen, ungezwungen und uneingeschränkt, in einem offenen Dialog zusammenführen.

„Art Unnecessary Hamburg“ is a collection of very diverse works of art by various artists, who do not necessarily want to be perceived as being essential, desirable or even as having any artistic value at all.
Working both here and abroad, these young artists broach the issues of their own origin, their discourse with society as well as their experiences gained during foreign exchange scholarships with their extremely personal works of art.
Under the theme »Art Unnecessary Hamburg« the galerie molitoris presents young artists who are aiming to break onto the international art scene.
„Art Unnecessary Hamburg“ creates a space for unique and unadorned pieces. This poses a huge challenge for the artist, as he is forced not just to present his work, but also to show it within the context of the demands of society as well as focussing on the 21st century, in this way obtaining more impact and subsequently demanding more reflexion from the beholder.
Along this path emerge exciting and surprising forms of exhibiting the work, be it photography, painting, sculpture or installations. These exhibition forms gently allow both the artist and the viewer to engage in dialogue with one another without restraints or inhibitions.
